Sometimes you want a quick way to leave someone a message and you don’t have time to sit and type it all out, and in Samepage you can do this with our voice message feature. It’s super easy to speak your message and post it so other users can click on it to hear your message.
Create a Voice Message
- Navigate to the place where you want to post your voice message and begin by clicking on the microphone icon below the chat box
- If the system asks you for permission to use the microphone click Allow
- As soon as you see the system recording you can begin to speak your message
- When you are done click the microphone icon again, which is now highlighted in blue
- The system will create a file of your voice message and you can click enter in the chat box to upload your message to the chat
The steps are identical in the web, desktop and mobile apps.
Listen to a Voice Message
- Navigate to the place where the voice message was posted
- Hover over the voice message and click the play button
- The system will play the voice message

If you need to delete the voice message that you just posted please see our help article on Editing or Deleting Chats.
You cannot edit a voice message that was posted. Your only option is to delete it and then record a new voice message.
